Dremio

Dremio is an innovative SQL execution engine designed to optimize data management by enabling organizations to leverage their data lakes and other data sources.  

On the technical side, Dremio enhances data access and analysis directly from various sources by offering a virtualization layer that allows users to query data without needing to move it while providing the ability to combine sources from different production environments. It focuses on accelerating queries on data lakes through technologies such as Apache Arrow, significantly improving performance and allowing queries on tables with millions of rows to execute in less than a second.  

Additionally, Dremio includes a data catalog with row-level security features, the ability to create a wiki, and data lineage tracking. It also enables users to create customizable virtual views for each user, which can be cached to speed up query processing.  

On the business side, Dremio allows many actions to be performed via an intuitive graphical interface without requiring SQL, such as adding columns based on business rules, performing aggregations, joins, and column filtering.
