Migrating an on-premise infrastructure to the Azure cloud
Context
iQera, a specialist in debt management and collection, was facing an obsolete infrastructure, built on-premise, which had become an operational obstacle. The slowness of the system impacted the responsiveness of the teams and led to losses in market shares.
To accelerate its operations and modernize its IS, iQera called on Theodo to define a technical cloud target, ensure the migration of a pilot application (DSOsuite) and guarantee maintenance in operational condition.

Challenges
- Background of the global restructuring of the company
- Limited control of application legacy by iQera teams, in part due to high turnover and a culture that is not very favorable to documentation
- Lack of knowledge of cloud tools and technologies by internal teams
Our approach
A mixed team of 6 Theodo Cloud experts and iQera teams collaborated to successfully complete the migration and modernize the infrastructure while ensuring operational continuity.
What made the difference:
Right-First-Time
Identification of the infrastructure dependencies necessary for the application (divided into 10 micro-services) and support for developers in the containerization of services, in order to start on a healthy basis and avoid subsequent re-work.
Learning organization
Deploying Azure Container Apps to reduce the time spent managing infrastructure and make teams more autonomous.
Just-in-Time
Deployment and functional tests of the various micro-services in the environments (DEV, REC, REC, QUALIF, PROD) and support in the gradual transition of 30 customers to Azure, to secure each stage without interruption of service.
