Context
A pioneering neuroscience company wanted to digitize clinical trials to help healthcare professionals assess and manage the progression of neurodegenerative diseases in patients.
Given the regulatory criteria surrounding software considered medical devices (SaMD), our developments are carried out within a framework that guarantees the security and confidentiality of patient data.
The Challenge
During a clinical trial, implementing daily patient monitoring based solely on clinical examinations or sampling is time-consuming and very costly for both biomedical companies and patients.
Thanks to the project we are supporting, healthcare professionals can now:
- Track the progression of the disease in their patients over time.
- Use the tool to identify patients who may benefit from more aggressive treatment or to assess the effectiveness of existing treatments.

The Solution
We have developed an application capable of collecting data in real time thanks to smartphone sensors, as well as a data platform capable of ingesting, transforming and analyzing all of the data collected to allow it to be analyzed by biostatistics experts.

Results
Thanks to the implementation of this solution, the company has been able to save money and perform more tests, which is advancing research. This solution has also allowed the company to collect more reliable data, as it is collected in the patient's daily life.
