Develop a DTx to support chronic pain patients to live better on a daily basis, allow health professionals to better monitor their patients, and promote research on chronic pain.
Context
Chronic pain affects an average of 1 out of 5 adults, or nearly 12 million people in France. There have been no therapeutic innovations for chronic pain in decades.
The Analgesia Institute wishes to develop a digital therapy (DTx) to improve the evaluation and management of chronic pain, to support the patient on a daily basis in the management of his pain, and to facilitate patient follow-up for all health professionals.

Challenges
- Redesign the eDoL tool used for the clinical studies of the Analgesia Institute in 9 months.
- Develop a symptom monitoring tool for health professionals in charge of studies and patient follow-up.
- Personalize therapeutic content for patients based on their symptoms and their evolution.
- Set up a data warehouse to feed medical research.
Our approach
A team of Theodo experts supported the Analgesia teams. What made the difference:
Value for the customer
Thanks to user interviews and our MLP (Minimum Lovable Product) approach, we were able to format the data in the simplest way possible for health professionals, allowing them to monitor the health status and treatment of their patients at a glance.
Learning Organization
Each version of the software is tested with beta testers to adjust solutions for patients and healthcare professionals.
Tech Enable Network
Daily collaboration between delivery, business and regulatory teams in order to comply with the requirements of the IEC 62304 standard in the design method in order to obtain CE marking.

“I wouldn't go back for anything in the world! 9 months after the start of the project, we have a tool that is ready to be put in the hands of patients, and I would never have believed it. The teams are very invested and committed to the project, and demonstrate real efficiency throughout the collaboration.”
